These stimulations are for instance:

sound: ultrasound
electricity: electrotherapy
hydrostatics: hydrotherapy
light: ultraviolet, laser
kinesiotherapy: a special kind of therapeutic gymnastics
Especially important role play the following aspects.
Instructions for daily living,
support to learn to get along with the disease,
to use support aids (like a walking-stick) and last but not least,
to have a good body posture.
Some of the goals of physiotherapy
Some of the goals of physiotherapy are f.e.: alleviation of pain, mobility improvement, gaining muscle strength, improvement of the body posture. Besides those there are goals like the stimulation of blood and lymph circulation, general relaxation, wound- healing, etc.
Physiotherapy is a practice by physiotherapists only. After a thorough 4 years training at the TEI/ college, we use physiotherapy in a practice, clinic, at home, and in hospitals. Physiotherapy is also used in rehabilitation centers and in sports. Mostly physiotherapy is used for orthopedic, neurological, and lung problems. Also there are applications for cardiology, lung, gynaecology, paediatrics etc.
What can you expect when you come for physiotherapy?
When you visit IASIS, I make an overall assessment concerning your problems in the first session.
This means, I study the referring doctor’s instruction and possible provided tests (like x-rays etc.).
Also I listen to your health story.
After a physical examination in order to find all the practical details, we discuss the goal of your therapy.
Hereafter we make a therapy plan together, and right away the therapy is implemented.
The road to your recovery starts!
2) Manual Therapy “Maitland”
This kind of manual therapy is a passive mobilisation- and manipulation-technique. Above all this approach is especially suitable for the spine, joints and soft tissues ( like the skin and muscles). We use manual therapy to gain better mobility, less pain and irritability in the affected areas.
3) Backschool
This is a cycle of four, one-hour, lessons that offer instructions for preventive care of the spine (sitting-lifting-carrying, and other movements from daily life).
Α particular exercise program for neck and back you learn. Of course private sessions for physiotherapy and acupuncture include backschool instruction too.
