Brain Gym for studying, learning and sports performance

Do you spend a lot of time studying or doing homework?

Would you like to learn how to study more efficiently and make better use of your time?

Do you find it difficult to remember what you have learned?

Or perhaps you feel that you are not progressing as much as you would like in sports?

Brain Gym is a practical way of exploring how simple movements can support coordination, attention, learning and physical performance.

And you can learn the basic exercises in just 1½ hours.

What is Brain Gym?

Think of it as a gym for the brain — and for the whole body.

Brain Gym is suitable for people of all ages. It uses a series of simple, specific and relatively short exercises involving movement, coordination and awareness.

The exercises are designed to bring different abilities into better cooperation: the eyes and hands, the eyes and feet, the body and its surroundings, as well as logical thinking and creativity.

The idea is not to train the brain separately from the body. We use movement, perception, sensation and thought together, because learning is not only something that happens in the head.

What do the exercises work with?

Among other things, the exercises can be used to explore and develop:

– Visual-motor coordination — for example, eye-hand and eye-foot coordination

– Body coordination in relation to the surrounding environment

– The cooperation of logical thinking and creativity

– Attention and concentration

– Memory and recall

– Reading and studying

– Writing

– Listening and hearing

– Speaking, voice and pronunciation

– Mathematical skills

– Movement and sporting activities

Another important aspect is the ability to take what has been learned through an exercise and apply it in a different situation.

In other words, we are not simply repeating an exercise until we can do it. We are exploring whether the body and mind can use the experience in new circumstances.

Brain Gym for studying and sports

The same principles of coordination and awareness that can be useful when studying can also be relevant to movement and sport.

For a student, this may mean exploring ways of becoming more organised and focused while learning.

For someone involved in sport, the emphasis may be on coordination, perception, movement and the relationship between the body and its environment.

The approach is therefore not limited to one age group or one particular activity.

Learn the 26 Brain Gym exercises

With me, you can learn the 26 Brain Gym exercises and discover how they can be incorporated into everyday life, studying, learning or physical activity.

The course is practical and experiential: rather than simply talking about coordination and learning, we actually use the body and experience the exercises ourselves.

If you are curious to discover a different way of approaching learning, coordination and performance, come and explore Brain Gym with me.

The whole introduction to the 26 exercises takes about 1½ hours.
