What is Reiki?
The Reiki is a Japanese healing art that applies the simple and natural touch of the hands on the body to transmit life energy. In fact “Reiki” in Japanese means “universal life energy”. That is energy that is abundant in the universe/ nature, and which offers life (vitality). Treatment through touch or through the transmission of a subtle/ non-visible but often sensible, refreshing energy existed in all cultures, in all known history and in all corners of the earth.
In fact, the touch for pain relief is an innate instinct.
More is very relaxing and refreshing. It takes about an hour and is done with the client fully dressed. During the session the practitioner of Reiki (the person who has received the First, Second or Third Degree Reiki Initiation) places his palms on the various body parts (although it also can be done at a small distance from the body) and transmits pure therapeutic energy. The person receiving Reiki can feel this as heat or as a wave, magnetism, electricity, coolness, tingling, or even as deep peace, joy, love, etc. Gradually Reiki cleanses the body, mind and spirit, balancing and strengthening the person in a secure and peaceful way. The relaxation and harmony offered is essentially the framework and the basis for any change, development and self-improvement. in three levels of education: The First Grade, Second and Third. During the First Degree Reiki one receives the connection to the universal energy, an energy coordination (strengthening) which opens the energy channels in the body and awakens the ability to heal himself through the touch of hands. During Second Grade this capability increases and he learns how to do remote/distant treatments. In the Third Degree (Master’s degree or teacher) the person is trained in how to pass this teaching and techniques to others. Reiki is affordable, easy and friendly. Everybody can learn it – even children. Furthermore, most people say that Reiki does not look like anything other than he learned in the past!
